Taekwon-Do Students
On February 11th, Cross Martial Arts Center's instructor/coach Steve Cross took eleven students to compete at the Texas State Taekwon-Do Championships held at the University of Texas in Austin. Students who competed included: Cody Vance, who won gold medals in patterns and sparring and a bronze in power breaking; Heath Lansford, who won a gold in sparring and a silver in patterns; Grant Lansford, who won gold in sparring and gold in patterns; Angie Black, who won silver in both breaking and sparring and bronze in patterns; Nicole Padilla took gold in sparring, silver in patterns, and bronze in breaking; Gena Schlabach won gold in patterns and bronze in both patterns and breaking; Phillip Schlabach took the gold in sparring and breaking and bronze in patterns; Carissa Arpelar won gold in sparring and bronze in patterns; Bennett Rodes took bronze in both patterns and sparring and a silver in breaking; Jack Raybourn won gold in sparring and silver in patterns; and Jamie Raybourn won gold in patterns, breaking, and sparring. Miss Raybourn's points totaled highest in the junior black belt division and she was awarded the Junior Black Belt Grand Championship. Congratulations to all for outstanding performance and representing Midlothian so well.
